I was working inspecting homes after a hurricane in North Carolina and I finally got a day with time to explore, and I had heard about wild horses out on an island, so I grabbed my kayak and headed to where they were supposed to be, and sure enough I spotted the herd right away. I “parked” my kayak in the grasses and was able to observe these beautiful, stocky horses enjoying their life in this blessed place, and was lucky enough to have this mustang run right by me.
