I only had a few minutes until my next appointment when I drove past these impertinent Sand Hill Cranes. Instead of hurrying on to my appointment, I stopped, grabbed my camera and slowly walked toward them and surprisingly, they did not fly like they usually do. They were too busy enjoying their breakfast in the farmer’s field of one of the many that were covered in water from so much rain. I was just a minor distraction for them, but they will live forever in this picture, or at least a very long time…
