Northern Harrier Hawk

Circus hudsonius

This hawk usually hunts just far enough away from the road to make it difficult for me to get a good photo. On that day, this Harrier was hunting closer to the road, but in order to get this shot, I had to catch up with it and as soon as I did it would turn around, so I would put my truck in reverse and try again. After about six times, I got this photo while driving 30 miles per hour carefully shooting out my window.
