On my way to an appointment near Brighton, Michigan. I noticed this family of swans hanging out and preening on their nest during a nice downpour. I quickly donned my rain jacket, hat and gloves, then put up my tripod and camera with a plastic lens cover and made my way over to them. They were so busy preening that I thought I would never get them to put their heads up, but finally a couple of them complied, and one even tried out its growing wings. Delightful!
