Hiking up the top of Big Cottonwood Canyon in northern Utah this spring, I heard a noise and moved very slowly until I found this Mom and Baby moose. At first, they were wary, but very soon they started nuzzling each other and soon after the baby started nursing, and I knew they were okay with me being nearby. I followed and photographed them for another hour or so.
