My favorite eastern state has to be Florida. Being from Idaho and Utah, I did not realize that such a place existed where it is summer year around and has animals galore that are exotic and beyond belief for me. One such critter is the iguana. I spent countless hours trying to get shots of them running on the water. You see, I am accustomed to the western lizards that avoid the water. The first time I saw an iguana, it looked at me and then raced at very high speeds to the nearest body of water, so fast that it walked on the water for a few feet, then dived in. Unbelievable! I never tired of watching hundreds of them do this, and this day I caught one of them in action!
