Kanab Utah has countless memories for me. I graduated from high school there. On this day I was visiting my sister Shalona and her son Spencer and I took Spencer to the local reservoir, hoping to talk him into coming to Thanksgiving with us. When we arrived, there was this Great Blue Heron hanging out and squawking at us, so I did the natural thing and grabbed my camera and surprisingly got close enough to pull off this shot right before it took off squawking very loudly at us! And Spencer did come to Thanksgiving celebration with the family and it was heavenly!
