I remember taking this shot on my birthday a couple of years ago. I was on the California coast having a splendid time and getting shots of many birds. This cute little house finch landed on this cactus while I was talking to my brother Kevan on the phone and let out a song at the top of his lungs unapologetic of the human trying to have a conversation, and it was magical because my camera was tripod mounted and I was able to talk on the phone and take this picture simultaneously.
