Driving on the Auto Tour Route in the Bear River Wildlife Refuge one beautiful morning, I noticed a small critter run into the grass while two Avocets stayed in plain sight doing their foraging thing not worried about the “tourist”. So I walked out into the grass and by some miracle found this cute little baby Avocet–kind of amazing how it looks very little like its parents.
